Carol L Alt

Carol Louise Alt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at home after battling her FTD Dementia for many years. We were blessed by the years of support provided by The Tender Adult Day Center and in the past year by the unending care and support from Vitality Hospice. Carol was born in Lykens, Pennsylvania and graduated with Honors from Olney High School in Philadelphia. In High School, Carol held a Work-Study job with the Teachers' Service Credit Union in Philadelphia and was hired full time upon graduation. In 1969, Carol went on to become the Senior Administrative Secretary at Temple University Hospital where she was recognized for her quiet competence, efficiency, knowledge, skill and excellent judgement. Carol stayed home to raise her boys, volunteering as a room mother and media volunteer before beginning her 25 year career in the Moorestown Township Public Schools. Carol possessed a deep sense of loyalty and took great pride in her work, no matter what position she held. She impacted the lives of many students and their families, first as a Paraprofessional and then Secretary at Mary E. Roberts Elementary School, Principal's Secretary at South Valley Elementary School and as an Assistant Principal's Secretary at William Allen Middle School. She was a passionate gardener. She adored their dogs, Maggie, Annie and Bella. Always cheering the Philadelphia sports teams, she was a loyal fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers! Carol enjoyed many musical genres, Willie Nelson, VanMorrison, and Little River Band but her musical “Fun Fact” was the fact that she danced on American Band Stand! Carol and Brian treasured vacations in Cape May, cruising to Bermuda with childhood friends, going to the Theater and competitive Game Nights! A vacation highlight was their Hawaiian Vacation, then traveling back from Hawaii with son Scott on the "Tiger Cruise" aboard the USS Carl Vinson Aircraft Carrier to his Naval Port to California. Carol valued time with friends sharing her larger-than-life laugh, making those around her feel special through her generous spirit that was welcoming to all. To Carol, Friends WERE Family. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Brian of 30 years who provided her with daily loving care. Her sons, Brian Lehman and Scott Lehman (Regan), daughter, Erica Favocci (Ray); grandsons Ethan and Alden Favocci; her brother Dennis Rickert (Karen), David Alt (Brenda), and Matthew Alt (Dawn). Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Betty Rickert. She will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, many longtime special friends and colleagues. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, beginning at 10:00am, at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown, 101 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057. In lieu of Flowers, if lead to donate, the family has requested that contributions be made to The Tender Adult Day Center, 4501 Church Road, Mt.
