Dolores R Neugold

Dolores R. Neugold of The Evergreens in Moorestown, NJ, passed away on September 7, 2024, just weeks shy of her 94th Birthday. A native of Poughkeepsie, NY, she earned her degree at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, NY. It was there she met the love of her life, Ronald R. Neugold, while he was a student at Clarkson College of Technology, now Clarkson University. They were married for 37 years before he was taken from us far too soon in 1991. She was predeceased by her parents, Dolores Dugan Ruscher and Louis J. Ruscher, her sister, Marie, and her favorite cousin, Elinor Lott. Cherishing the wonderful memories they share of her are her four devoted children: Kathleen Shaffer (John), Ronald Neugold (Lisa), Douglas Neugold (Judy), and Tracy Relle (Paul); her six grandchildren Ronnie, Katie, Emily, Clark, Colin and Evan; her six great-grandchildren Ruscher, Evelyn, Rory, Piper, Lukas and Henri; her four step-grandchildren Matt, Lisa, Will and Emma; and a number of nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dolores was a talented musician, and while at the Crane School she played french horn and piano, and sang in their choral group under the direction of the renowned Robert Shaw. After graduation, she taught piano for many years. Her family shares fond memories of holidays around the baby grand piano, singing along with her wonderful playing. She was an avid gardener, book club member, longtime member of the Cooper Auxiliary, and of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. In recent years, she enjoyed participating in choral presentations at The Evergreens. And since being there, she also enjoyed art classes, surprising her family with her beautiful paintings - which should not come as a surprise, as she was always a very visual and creative person. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Sat. Sept. 14, 2024 at Our Lady of Good Counsel , 42 W. Main St. Moorestown, NJ. Visitation Sat. 10- 11am at the Church. Interment Mt.
