Sara (Sally) Mumma Harral, On May 4, 2012 age 99 of Moorestown since 1959. Sally was a graduate of Stephens College, Columbia, MI. received her B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1934. Sally was the Color Girl at the United States Naval Academy in 1934 and remained active in the Color Girl Assoc. for almost her entire life. Sally was active in numerous organizations and a member of many boards during her full life. One of her greatest joys was her service as a Trustee of the Coriell Institute for Medical Research in Camden, NJ where she founded the Friends of Coriell. She was also a charter member of the NJ Committee for the Philadelphia Orchestra and was recognized by the Orchestra for her 25 years of service. She was one of four founders of the Perkins Center For the Arts in Moorestown in the mid-1970s and a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Moorestown. Sally had a varied professional career in addition to being a homemaker and mother. She was an elementary school teacher while her children were young but later she was the fashion director for the Delaware Valley region of Sears Roebuck from the mid 1960’s until about 1978. In 1978, she founded the Barbizon School of Fashion Merchandising in Philadelphia and served for many years as the school’s director. She was the wife of 62 years of , Rear Admiral Brooks J. Harral (USN Ret.). Mother of Sara Sargent (Redford), Bala Cynwyd, Pa., Brooks Harral, Jr. (Carol), Rocklin, Ca. and John Harral (Marjorie), Gulfport, MI. and the late Martha Shymik 7 Grandchildren and10 Great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2pm Thurs. at the Chapel of the Evergreens, 309 Bridgeboro Rd. Moorestown, NJ. Interment will be Private.
