Angela G Schimenti

Angela Grace Schimenti (née Monzo), 95, of Moorestown, NJ passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026. Born on July 7, 1930, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Angela was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Monzo. She grew up alongside her sister Anna Vogler and brother Anthony Monzo. Angela began her professional journey as a legal secretary—a role that led to one of the most significant chapters of her life: meeting her future husband, Charles. After starting a family together, Angela chose to leave the workforce to raise their children with unwavering care and devotion. Her greatest pride was her family. Angela was especially proud of the accomplishments of her two sons: Robert Schimenti (Joanne) and John Schimenti (Kerry). One pursued a distinguished career as a professor at Cornell University; the other became a respected cardiologist in South Jersey. Her pride in their achievements was matched only by the love she held for them and their families. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Michael (and his wife Vivian), Matthew, Robert, Carl (and his wife Rebecca), and Diana as well as her great-granddaughter Emma. Each generation carries forward the values she instilled: love for family, commitment to excellence, and deep-rooted faith. A lifelong Catholic, Angela’s devotion to her faith was central to who she was. Her spiritual strength provided guidance throughout her life and comfort to those around her. Angela found joy in simple pleasures—especially cooking for loved ones and taking trips with her husband to New York City to enjoy Broadway shows. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents Joseph and Mary Monzo; her sister Anna Vogler; and her brother Anthony Monzo. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Lewis Funeral Home, 78 E. Main Street. Moorestown, NJ. 08057 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 42 W.
