Caroline Rossell

Caroline A. Rossell (nee Bieleski), age 97 of Moorestown, formerly of Medford and Collingswood, passed away peacefully on August 14 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife for 71 years of the late Henry R. Rossell; devoted mother of daughters Marie Kolynych (Michael) of Hainesport and Christine Norris (Christopher) of Cherry Hill and son Henry Rossell, Jr. (Paula) of Louisville, CO; loving nanny to grandchildren Andrew Rossell (Courtney), Emily Rossell, Patrick Norris, and Amanda Norris and great-grandchildren Lila Graham and Keya Graham; and proud aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Louise P. Rossell, her brothers Kasmer, Stanley, and John Bielecki and sisters Helen Simon and Marie Allibone. Caroline spent her early years in Lindenwold. At age 15 she joined the Haddon Heights VFW Drum and Bugle Corps where she led the color guard. After high school she worked in retail and fashion modeling for John Wanamaker in Philadelphia. Caroline regularly attended the Dancette in Oaklyn on Saturday evenings where she met her future husband. She loved being a homemaker, community volunteer, and spending time in Cape May with her family collecting shells on the beach and bird-watching at Cape May Point. An oil painter, Caroline liked to use nature as her canvas and enjoyed cruising the world with her husband and taking her grandchildren to Disney World. She loved Maeve Binchy novels; word scrambles; the Philadelphia Eagles; college football (including halftime with the marching bands); butter pecan ice cream; Dionne Warwick; shopping; holiday gatherings; begonias; and attending concerts, plays, and other cultural events in Philadelphia with friends and family. Relatives and friends are invited to the Evergreens Chapel, 309 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown, for the Visitation on Thursday, August 17 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 10:30 AM.
